Eric brings over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry to GDL Capital. With a background in both business ownership and real estate investments across multiple asset classes, Eric is well-equipped to guide clients in structure and execution. He has been involved in over 3,000 transactions in residential investing and funded over 1 billion in private debt and equity. Eric has also served on the executive teams of three national private lenders, playing a key role in building billion-dollar loan origination companies from the ground up.
With a background in the medical field and over a decade of experience in real estate, Kelly brings a unique perspective to GDL Capital. In her previous role, she helped onboard new clients and execute documents for self-directed IRA's, enabling individuals to successfully invest in real estate with GDL Capital. Kelly has also flipped over 30 houses in downtown Austin and managed her own real estate investments in Lakeway, Texas. She is also the CEO of Bluebird Morning Café + Eatery in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
GDL is named after Eric and Kelly's kids together.

If we believe your loan is viable and after appraisals are ordered, typically 70% of our loans close.
Sometimes in the underwriting process things come back and make it an unfundable loan, sometimes lenders don’t perform and sometimes capital markets shift.
The market moves hourly and programs can change.
Typically, the lenders we work with and when we lend our own money, we have a lot of control over because we’ve done business together before.
